With the return of sensible behavior in Midcap stocks, fundamentally strong stocks witnessed some uptrend. Operational performance of stocks continued to guide us believe that the growth in prices too should be sustainable, backed by robust performance in the latest Trailing Twelve Months (TTM) over previous TTM.
As of now, a total of 340 companies having Market Capitalisation of over 1,000 Crores declared their latest June 18 quarter results. 261 out of them have reported improved performance while only 79 companies reported drop in their profitability. Profits of 261 companies surged by a healthy 9.14% over previous TTM.
Ratio of better reporting companies to worse reporting companies continue to remain healthy warranting fresh investments in equities for significant gains in the coming few quarters. When we checked the ratios in different baskets of market capitalizations there were three better companies for every one company reporting dip in profitability
